Bond coat additive for unbound layers (Prime Coats)
TerraPrime is a cationic bitumen emulsion additive that enables a deeply penetrative prime coat that is track resistant and waterproof.
TerraPrime reduces the surface tension of the CSS type emulsions significantly. This leads to improved wetting and coverage properties, deeper penetration into the soil/aggregate base, quicker setting times (1-2 hrs. vs. the conventional 6-8 hrs.) and reduced droplet size of the emulsion.
TerraPrime modified emulsions form a durable chemical bond with the underlying surface. The permanent anchoring ensures uniform load transfer, while significantly reducing the potential of the bitumen to track. TerraPrime modified emulsion also makes the prime coat penetrative and waterproof.

Nanotac added to cationic bitumen emulsion of cold mixes, facilitates Microsurfacing and slurry seals with excellent bond strength & water resistance. It improves the WTAT readings and facilitates quick strength development. It also reduces slippage of the surfaces.
The setting time required for cationic emulsions mixed with Nanotac, is reduced considerably, with substantial reduction in tacking. Nanotac improves the spray quality and the flow of the asphalt emulsion, with reduced stickiness to the equipment surfaces. Nanotac can be added in to the water tank, during the mix preparation in order to extend the life of the pavement.
